Dear Luke,
Congratulations on your graduation from elementary school! Each of us has only one opportunity to be an elementary schooler, and I am so proud of how you handled yourself.
Your teachers loved you, you made friends easily, you earned excellent grades, and you won various awards for behavior and achievement. You seemed to enjoy yourself, too, which was fun to see.
You also experienced some significant challenges and interruptions: Hurricane Harvey, remote learning during the Covid pandemic, a Celiac diagnosis, and moving from Texas to South Carolina before your fifth grade year. You handled these challenges, and others, with bravery and resilience. I know you'll continue to flourish in middle school.
I couldn't be more proud of you, Luke. It's a gift to be your Dad!
