Dear Luke,
At the top of our stairs we have a baby gate, but we don't have anything at the bottom. You aren't allowed to touch the gate upstairs or the stairs themselves downstairs. The other day I needed to run upstairs to get something and you were happily playing downstairs. I thought I could probably trust you not to follow me, but I would see. I started upstairs and reminded you, "No touch stairs." You stood and patiently waited for me to return, without touching the stairs. I have done this several times recently, running either upstairs or downstairs, and been so proud of you when each time, you have faithfully waited for me to return without touching what you know you shouldn't. Great job, Luke!
